Wallace’s Standardwing (Semioptera Wallacii), was rediscovered by Mr David Bishop in 1983. It had not previously been sighted for 50 years. It was filmed for the first time in 1986 for the BBC nature documentary “Birds for all Seasons” and was also observed in the BBC Natural World film, “Attenborough in Paradise”.
